The challenge

Children and older people often lack of proteins and other nutrients in their diet, such as iron for instance. Insects are the future source of protein. They are smaller but dense in protein, furthermore an insect farm takes less place than a farm with cows. However not many people are ready to eat an entire grilled tarantula or a tomatoe flavored grasshoper. What about a cheese flavored mealworms ?

The solution

Kitchinsect the insect kitchen set for kids. While pretend playing to « cook » edible insect, the children become open-minded about this type of food. This way, children will think about a grilled scorpio as a big schrimp and might even influence their parents. For a lot of countries (thailand, china, australia…) insects are part of the diet so why not here ?

Introducing insects to the children so that they don’t have psychological barrier in the future.
